Garage doors have continued to evolve over the last century, and now they are available in many different sizes, shapes, materials, and designs. As a homeowner, you will have to replace your own door or doors sometime during the years, and shopping for a replacement is going to be an entirely new experience as you face the many decisions that this once-simple job now entails. What it all actually boils down to, however, is a few basic styles of doors decorated in different ways.

Probably the most common type of garage door is the overhead pull-down type. This style has been used since the 1920s because of its basic simplicity. It was originally engineered by C.G. Johnson, and the style is essentially unchanged from the hinged panels mounted on a track and rollers which are then lifted by a spring mechanism. This is the style of door that is more popularly known as a roll-up door. Something you might not know is that this man Johnson went on to invent the first electric garage door opener in 1926. Although we consider these openers to be a product of modern technology, they have actually been around for almost a century.

A door that similarly operates by running up onto the ceiling on tracks and rollers is a single panel door. Instead of being made up of hinged panels, the entire door consists of only one large panel. The door still slides up and over the doorway allowing vehicles free clearance, but it does require some external room in which to operate. You may have heard these doors referred to as monolithic.

A third similar type of door is a sectional garage door. This style utilizes 6-8 panels which also roll up into the garage’s overhead space. Benefits to having a door like this include the fact that all of the panels connect individually to the track making the door a much more reliable entry plus, a car can be parked right up to the door, and the door can still be raised without having to move the car.

As I was searching the internet for the best Retractable Screen door, I came across a website that claiming to be ” a proud distributor of the one and only, 100% MADE IN THE USA, Clearview Retractable Doors and Motorized Power Screens”.

As it turns out their claim was true, their screens are actually manufactured in the united states and they proved it to me by giving me the plants number and allowing me to verify this myself. Why is this important you might ask? It is important because most retractable screen doors on the market are dumped into this country from chain and like most mechanical products from china, these screen fail to preform in such a shirt period of time. It’s as if cheap materials were used in order to plan the product’s eventual and certain obsolescence.

As I continued my research, I came across the “Clearview” Retractable Screen and its local distributor her in Virginia, Liberty Screens. I have since read countless article comparing one screen to another and the general consensus is that the “Clearview” Retractable screens is the best of the best.

I booked an appointment’s with the local distributor, Liberty Screens, and the nice salesman showed me the differences that all these people online have been talking about. It’s one think to read about it, but it’s another to actually see it for yourself.

I read that unlike the Clearview, other Retractable Screens don;t have a speed reducer and so they snap back really hard. The gentlemen showed me how that does not happen with the Clearview because of the patented Speed Reducer.

The other thing that blew me away was when he was showing me how their screen material does not tear. From my understanding the screen fabric separates and all you have to do so gently rib it back in place the strand re-align. Its hard to describe but you will have to see the video on Liberty Screen’s website.

The salesmen also told me that their ordering process is two step. Meaning that he would only measure my doors today and that once the custom built unit arrives from Florida, it would be professional installed by a trained professional. I only mention this because other company come to your home with a hacksaw and some stock screen door and cut the screen on site. This results in poor quality control and installation because not all doors are the same.

I believe in supporting companies that hire and American employees, manufacturing American made products. The end product is a custom built, and professionally installed Retractable Screen Door.
adt home security : ADT home security is considered as the safest home security option available in the market. Trusted by thousands of households across the country, it is the perfect choice for every home owner.
